Since the merger of Live Nation and Ticketmaster has happened i feel as though Live Nation should stick to it's original plan of doing promotions and advertising and leave the ticket sales to the master. Greed is 1 of the all time business killers and with the system Ticketmaster already has in place along with going to livenation.com and being redirected back to ticketmaster for events they should just let things run smoothly and not complicate things by having 2 sites selling the same seats. Get it together and work as a team or split again and burn.

I agree, the tickets for major sporting events are costly and most people are huge fans and would love to attend many games, but it's just the cost that matters to some. I think there should be an event where fans are able to live a dream of playing in a tournament in which they can win tickets. Then its like the best of both worlds where fans play with Sports Legends in a vacay spot like the Atlantis Bahamas or something. Then i think it gives people an equal chance and its cheaper.

All who are writing that this blog shouldn't be used for airing grievances: What do you think blogs are for?! If you want the news, read a newspaper (or industry journal). If you want to hear someones opinion or outlook on a subject matter (near and dear to their heart) read the blogs. Duh! There is a reason they call it journalism. (If you don't know, it is because it's done by journalists).

But anyway...It's kinda nice seeing that the ticket brokers are finally the ones getting screwed.

I'm frustrated that Live Nation doesn't even put up the price of tickets until the event actually goes on sale, as it'd be nice to know what the show is going to cost in advance of the onsale. :(

Comment on New Ticketmaster Delivery Fees by Ticketbastard

So let me get this straight. The geniuses at Ticketbastard want to charge $1.50 for something that would have cost $2.50 before, with a cost to them of $0.00 since you are doing all the work, a savings of $1, but then instead of free mail, they want to charge $4.00 for something that costs 42 cents, an increase of $3.58. At the same time, most people prefer hard tickets and besides brokers, a lot of people probably have been picking the mail option...

I like how people are always hating on brokers being the scum of the earth but Ticketbastard is the biggest broker of them all with their shady Marketplace that holds back the best seats.. but it's not as obvious so the public doesn't know about it..

At least they don't charge a $6 parking fee for EACH ticket like co*ksuckernation does..
